Where else in the world

Can you downhill ski and turn around and golf that same day??  There is something really wonderful about being able to enjoy both those activities during the same time period.  Living in the Kootenay mountains is a unique experience.  We have all four seasons and mild winters...growing up in a prairie province I was used to miserably cold winters with face freezing temperatures that blasted you the moment you walked outside.  The summers were always warm but with fierce winds and bugs galore.  Not that we don't have bugs here in the mountains cause we do but somehow they are less annoying.  Our outdoor life is much more enjoyable now than it ever was in our home province.

I am a proud BC'er now who loves the choice between skiing or golfing on the same day or maybe even both...woo hoo!
